Is your college dedicating a veterans center, serving lunch, hosting a tailgate or attempting a world record in cakes to honor veterans this month?
Military Times invites colleges to submit photos from your events in honor of Veterans Day, Veterans Week — Veterans Month — however your campus celebrates.
Ceremonies, parties, potlucks, mud runs — hit us with everything you’ve got.
In Maryland, for example, University of Maryland University College is naming its veteran student lounge in honor of retired Air Force Lt. Col. Dona Hildebrand and her late husband Air Force Col. Floyd Hildebrand in recognition of a $500,000 gift.
SUNY Oswego in New York state will dedicate its new Battle Buddy Center.
Three colleges came together in the Mountain hub for an annual urban ceremony organized by Metropolitan State University of Denver.
And Liberty University in Virginia has been prepping for its Military Appreciation Day football game vs. Charleston Southern.
We hope to publish a gallery on MilitaryTimes.com, ArmyTimes.com, NavyTimes.com, AirForceTimes.com and MarineCorpsTimes.com as soon as this Friday, Nov. 11 (Veterans Day).
Two ways to contribute:
1. Post to Instagram and include @MilitaryTimes and #VetsMonth. Make sure we can figure out that you’re posting from a campus and which one.
2. This link will let you upload photos and type in captions and photo credits.
We’ll keep adding to the gallery all month long.
